Miss Olmstead's Biography

         I teach Writing and Social Studies, my two favorite subjects! This is my second year teaching at Hodson, but it is my sixth year teaching 5th grade and my seventh year teaching. I love learning and completed my Bachelors at the University of Central Oklahoma. Then I continued my education at Northeastern State University, where I received my Master's in Reading Education. I am also a certified Reading Specialist.

 

          I have an adorable dog, named Tanner and love to play with him when I am at home. I also enjoy reading and crocheting. I enjoy traveling, especially to places with a rich history. A few of my favorite places are Colonial Williamsburg and Mount Vernon, where I was able to attend teacher institutes to help me make history more enjoyable for students.
