Teeman's Shipshape Sailors
I would like to welcome you and your child to the 2018-2019 school year at Pamela Hodson Elementary. I am looking forward to a year filled with new and exciting learning experiences.
Career and Personal Information
I began my teaching career in Oklahoma City where I taught for 12 years for the OKC Public Schools. This is my 21st year to teach at Hodson. Teaching has not only become my life but also my family's as well. I hope this is very evident as I try to provide the best education for your child.
My college background consists of a B.S. in Elementary Education from The University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and a A.A. in Pre-teaching and Secretarial Science from Midwest Christian College.
I am married to Jimmy who works for Greyhound. He also has his teaching degree and children are his passion as well. I have two children. Joshua has graduated from the US Naval Academy and is a Nuclear Engineer Officer for the US Navy and is stationed in San Diego and currently on deployment in Guam. Jalane graduated from UCO with a nursing degree. She also is serving our Navy as an officer at Balboa hospital in San Diego. She has just returned from a 7 month deployment to Afghanistan and is preparing for her next command in Japan. Our family attends First Church here in Owasso. We LOVE this community and are excited about ALL the changes taking place.
In my spare time I love to read, collect nautical items and follow my children around on their many adventures. GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!
My educational philosophy is taken from THE LION KING. "From the smallest ant to the largest elephant, every living thing has a place in the great circle of life." I feel that every child that walks into my classroom is important. They each have a unique mixture of talents, interests, and dreams. We have the awesome responsibility of convincing them how important they are, to encourage them to take their place in the "circle of life" - a place only they can fill. You, your child, and I will work together to meet the many challenging and necessary goals for completion of first grade.
