Principal's Message

Dear Hodson Elementary Families and Prospective Families,

My name is Sarah Vann and this is my fifth year as the Principal of Hodson Elementary. I am honored to be able to serve teachers and students every day and I am so lucky to be a part of this amazing school.

My educational career started in Tahlequah, where I taught 7th-10th Grade Science for two years. My family moved to the Tulsa area and I started teaching at Owasso 8th Grade Center in 2002. I taught Science and Advanced Physical Science at the 8th Grade until 2017 when I transitioned to being the Assistant Principal here at Hodson.

I believe that education provides students an opportunity to learn about themselves, the world around them, and their future potential. Education opens doors for students and enables them to better themselves and others around them. Education breaks barriers and provides every student with the knowledge and skills to be positive and productive citizens.

As part of my regular routine, once school starts, you will find me out and about on campus during morning arrivals, afternoon dismissals, and throughout the school day. I look forward to continuing to build the relationships I have already established with the students, staff, and families of Hodson Elementary School.

I can be reached at [email protected] You are welcome to stop by the office and see if I am available or set up an appointment if you ever need to speak with me. Building a strong home-school partnership is important to me and vital to a child's successful educational journey.

I look forward to the opportunity of nurturing, encouraging, challenging, and enjoying your precious children as we embark on the 2023-2024 school year! It's going to be a great year of learning and growing!

Sincerely,

Sarah Vann, Ed.D.
