Principal's Message

Principal's Corner

Dear Hodson Elementary Families and Prospective Families,

I am so excited to start my second year as principal at Hodson Elementary. I look forward to continue working with the students, parents, teachers and community. There is a lot of great things happening at Hodson and I am blessed to be a part of it.

My passion for education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped over the last twenty-five years as a special education teacher, school counselor, assistant principal, and principal. I worked as a special education teacher for nine years; eight of those years in Muskogee, and one year in Springfield, GA. The last sixteen years, I have worked for Owasso Public Schools; twelve years as a school counselor and four years in administration.

On a personal note, I have a wonderful husband of twenty two years, Spencer, and three incredible children, Tyler, Baylee, and Chloe. All three of them have attended Owasso Public Schools. Tyler and Baylee have already graduated and Chloe will graduate in a few years.

As part of my regular routine once school starts, you will find me out and about on campus during morning arrivals, afternoon dismissals, and throughout the school day. I look forward to continue building the relationships I have already established with the students, staff, and families of Hodson Elementary School.

I can be reached at charlene.duncan@owassops.org.  You are welcome to stop by the office and see if I am available or set-up an appointment if you ever need to speak with me. Building a strong home-school partnership is important to me and vital to a child's successful educational journey.

I look forward to the opportunity of nurturing, encouraging, challenging, and enjoying your precious children as we embark on the 2018-2019 school year! It's going to be a great year of learning and growing!

Sincerely,

Charlene Duncan
